We are pleased to announce that we will hosting our first fire safety in housing
seminar this year in conjunction with the Fire Protection Association (FPA), UBM and others. It will take place on June 18th between 10am and 2pm as part of the Firex Exhibition that is being held at the Excel, London and is free of charge.

s216_ken_knightThe keynote speaker will be Sir Ken Knight who was  the Government’s Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser for England until 2013, and is still very active in the field.  The talks will be a mixture of practical issues on fire safety in blocks of flats combined with insights from policy makers and enforcers on how landlords manage their fire safety.   We will also look at our new fire safety training opportunities available for housing officers and risk assessors that will allow the sector to up- skill staff post the Lakanal House and other similar incidents.

The day is aimed at senior and middle managers from social and private housing organisations, although will be also useful for those involved in managing fire risk within a social or private housing environment.

CPD 3.5hrn_colThe day also accounts for 3.5 hours of CPD, approved by the Institute of Fire Engineers and registration is required to confirm attendance. Please note the seminar must be pre-booked.
